ImpAct Theatre is bringing a new play, The White Bike, to Dorset venues in April 2019.
The production will be the amateur premiere of this work and is staged in association with Bournemouth Borough Council’s THINK BIKE safer cycling campaign.
The play highlights the importance of road safety, in a creative and meaningful way and gives an important message, especially for cyclists.
We would love to share this brilliant piece of theatre with you and if you are interested in bringing a group from your cycling club or organisation, it would be helpful if you are able to let us know asap please so that arrangements can be made for you to have the best seats possible and accommodate your requirements.
The White Bike is a creative and imaginative play about how an ordinary cycle ride to work can have extraordinary consequences. Written by Tamara von Werthern and inspired by a true event, this beautifully constructed and thought provoking piece takes us on a journey showing us what happens when on an ordinary day our world is turned upside down.
ImpAct Theatre feels very privileged to be working with Tamara on this production and Patricia Richardson, the play’s director says, “The White Bike is an utterly unique and deeply affecting play and we feel very honoured to have its writer, Tamara von Werthern, involved with this production and are delighted to be staging this work in association with Bournemouth Borough Council to highlight this very important campaign,”
Richard Pearson, Bournemouth Council’s Highway Design and Road Safety Officer said ‘We are delighted to be working with ImpAct Theatre to help highlight the topic of cycle safety. It is so important that drivers take a little extra care to look properly and give cyclists space and also for cyclists to make themselves as visible as possible.’
