Jolliffe on Track in Germany

Alex Jolliffe (Team Terminator) represented Great Britain at the recent UCI Grand Prix Germany along with Petersfield's Joe Truman. Riding for the GB Junior Sprint team 17 year old Jolliffe came through the repacharge, won his semi-final and eventually finished 4th in the Kierin final. In the sprint Jolliffe qualified 8th in the flying 200 and then came through the rounds only to lose 2-1 in the semi-final, again finishing 4th. The Grand Prix Event followed a two day training camp at the Cottbus track for the GB Juniors and proved a great learning experience for Weymouth-based Jolliffe. Penned next to Robert Forstemann and with the New Zealand team warming up behind there was no shortage of inspiration either.
