Dorset Hill Climb Series Results

Dorset Inter-club Hill Climb series.

After the poor weather cancelled last weekends BJW Hill climb, we were treated to a clement warm and virtually wind free Sunday for the last of the Inter-club of the year. Due to the season only three of the five climbs were contested which made the results much closer for the last event. Pride was all to play for with the top three riders all ready and present as well as the club competition was still to be decided. It was the Purbeck Peloton home race so they showed up in numbers with a good overall turn out of 34 riders.

Whiteway is the longest climb in the series making it more appealing for the pure time trialists. Last years series winner Lewis Keightley (Primera) did not disappoint on his only outing and managed to set a very fast time on the gentle slopes of the first mile with an effort that proved untouchable for John Cooper (MSG) and James Horton (VstR). A strong turn out for the BJW and ccW also had several of their riders in the top ten. Thanks to Rob Koppenhol
