UK-BIKING Moreton Race Series 2012

UK-Biking Moreton Race Series 2012
UK-Biking is very excited to announce they will be running the 7th instalment of the Moreton evening Kermesse races for 2012.

Run under TLI rules, the 12 race series, running from 10th May to 26th July, will be known as the UK-Biking Moreton Race Series and will continue to run on Thursday evenings.

Races will last 1 hour + 1 lap, with riders setting off in ability related groups, to encourage exciting racing.

UK-Biking has developed a new section on their website, providing the latest news, information and results for the series.

A new feature being looked at for this year is the Moreton Midsummer Championships, held on 21st June. This special race will be a longer format, to celebrate the longest day of the year. The race will carry additional points and an award ceremony will take place afterwards. Further details on this will be published on the Moreton website nearer the start of the series.
Richard Lang from UK-Biking says:

"Myself, Steve Dring and the rest of the UK-Biking crew are very much looking forward organising the Moreton Race Series in 2012. Pete (Washington) has worked so hard over the previous 6 years to keep the series running smoothly and we hope we can do somewhere near as good a job!

The success of Moreton always depends on people turning up to race and the help of riders, friends and family with marshalling and chearing on.

We are going to keep the format pretty much the same as previous years but also try and introduce some new features such as the Moreton Midsummer Champs and the new website facilities. We are also going to do a freindly club league table on the website for a bit of fun."

Also new for 2012, points will be awarded to all riders who attend a race, to recognize consistency throughout the series.

Companies that are interested in sponsoring prizes or supporting the series in general should get in touch with UK-Biking through their website.
