Ben Jones: Cycling Specific Personal Trainer



Hi my name is Ben Jones I am a Level 3 Personal Trainer based in Bournemouth. I’m sure winter training is crossing all cyclists’ minds now that the weathers closing in and the turbo trainers are soon to become very important to your training schedule. As strength and conditioning specialist, from my experience working within the field of sport science, I have seen many crucial areas being avoided in relation to sport specific exercise programs. If I could emphasize anything enough use your winter training to target those weaknesses and get yourself in to peak condition. Winter training is also perfect to concentrate on some strength work. Whether you’re a track or road cyclist, strength training, I can guarantee will benefit you. Improving core strength and your power to weight will make you extremely efficient and will help prepare you for the next season and more importantly will help prepare you for an injury free season.

As well as a personal trainer I work for AFC Bournemouth’s centre of excellence as a Strength and Conditioning coach and am a current Exercise Science Rehabilitation student at the AECC. I have a huge passion for cycling and am offering all club cyclists a free 30 minute 1 to 1 taster session to see if they want to take their performance to the next level. I am based in "The Gym" Bournemouth on Westover Road.
