Ring holds of Green in night of fast times, Andrew Hanley writes.......
Sacha Ring took full advantage of fast conditions to record his first victory of the season in the New Forest CC 10 series. The event was held on the Copythorne P128 course on a very calm evening. Sacha recorded the fastest club time of the season to date in 22:07 to average 27.1mph. Sacha who had been marginally behind runner up Antony Green at the half way point, gained all of his final 6 second advantage over Antony in the last couple of miles. Green recorded the second fastest club time of the season in 22.13. Nick Buck made up the podium positions in 23.02. The second place means that Antony takes a slender lead in Division 1 of the 10 series ahead of Ben Boardman and Sacha Ring in third.
Bob Dowling beat Division 2 leader Lyndon Thompson into second place on the night with a stunning ride of 24.34, just 11 seconds clear of Lyndon who again broke the 25 minute mark in 24.45. Richard Mason was safely in third place just under a minute behind in 25.40. Division 2 looks to be a two horse race between Bob and Lyndon, with Lyndon holding a 4 point lead.
Adrian Hunt (26.45) claimed his second win in Division 3 this season ahead of Oliver Moody (27.18). Peter Weaver made up the top three in 28.25. Consistency is the key in the series and Peter Hawker has demonstrated this by picking up regular points as he leads Division 3 comfortably at the moment by 12 points.
